Picture-option "Size"

For the acquisition of a picture the selection of a picture size is necessary. In the list of the field "Size" usually several variations can be chosen. These possibilities are explained in the following. Some pictures are not available in all variations. The price of the picture depends on the chosen size. Size: "Download"
Pictures of the size "Download" have a maximum side-length of 600 pixels. They are suitable for the application of internet-sites, as screen-background or for layout-purposes. The pictures in this size are sharpened for the stated applications.
Size: "Standard"
Pictures of the size "standard" are offered unsharpened in a dissolution of 300 as well as 360 dpi. They are suitable for print-outs to a maximum size of 21x29 cm (about 2400x3300 pixels with 300 dpi, ca. A4).
Size: "Maximum"
Pictures of this size are delivered unsharpened in the original size. The maximum-size is presented for every picture above the affiliated keywords. The size depends on the available original and varies from picture to picture.
Size: "Exclusive"
With acquisition of exclusive-rights, the picture is delivered unsharpened in maximum size. Exclusive-rights mean moreover, that the relevant picture will not be offered to any other customer from the moment of acquisition according to the agreements regionally or temporarily. However, previously acquired rights of other customers remain. Regarding circulation, there are no restrictions with acquisition of exclusive-rights. The duration of the application is a matter of agreement. For other conditions of the utilization our terms and conditions are to apply. Please note: also with acquisition of exclusive-rights the copyright remains in every case with the author of the picture!
Size: "Prize on application (+9,999.00 EUR)"
These pictures are available only on inquiry. We like to inform you of the corresponding price in vote with the author of the picture. For this we require the following statements:
- purpose of application (e. g. advertisement, trade-product, editorially)
- product of application (e.g. book, calendars, handouts)
- circulation
- size of illustration (1/4, 1/2, whole page, double page)
- position (inside, title page, envelope-page inside / outside)
- term (in years)
- area for circulation (e.g. regionally, Germany, Europe, world-wide)
- branch (e.g. travel agency, hotel, industry, agriculture, administration)
- beginning of the application if differently from the beginning of purchase
The picture-agency decides about the consent to the acquisition for the stated purpose in vote with the author of the picture.
Because of the configuration of the web page it is unfortunately absolutely necessary to declare a price for the pictures only available on inquiry. Since this can vary, the number 9,999.00 (or a corresponding number in US-Dollar) was declared as place-holders. We ask for understanding for this. The place-holder does not correspond to actual price.

Picture-option "format"

From the list of the option "format" the format of the file has to be chosen. The formats JPG and TIFF usually are available. Please note that pictures of the size "Download" are only delivered in the JPG-format.
Our JPG-files are generated from the original TIFF-files with the use of a high quality-step (10) for the compression. For this reason the known losses at the compression are held low consequently. A TIFF-file with a storage-size of about 25 MB (it corresponds approximately to our standard-size-pictures) usually has a storage-size of about 2,5 MB as JPG-file.

Prices

The price boasted with the pictures always refers to the size of "standard". The price of pictures of the size of "Download" uniformly is 4.50 Euro. The price of a picture of the size "maximum" amounts most the triple of its standard-price. Exclusive-prices usually amount to at least the tenfold of the standard-price. Please ask for the exact price for the exclusive-right of a picture with demand. For picutures without a declaration of a price in the table coloumn "Price" a place-holder 9,999.00 (or a corresponding number in Dollar) was registered for technical reasons. For these pictures prices are available only on inquiry. For further hints look at the help of the option "size".

Sharpness

Our pictures in the size of "Download" are sharpened finally. All other picture-sizes are delivered source-sharpened. We recommend to perform sharpening at the end of the treatment.
On inquiry it also is possible to deliver the picture-files sharpened ready to print. For scaling and sharpening the following statements are required:
- size of the printed picture (length x width in cm or inch)
- printer-dissolution (150 / 180 / 200 / 240 / 300 / 360 / 480 / 720 dpi)
- type of the printer and eventually manufacturers (ink-ray / laser / Fuji-Printer.)
- purpose (From which distance the picture will be watched: mainly from near - e. g. in a book -, from middle distance - e. g. a picture at a wall, posters - or from a high distance - e. g. as poster?).
The price for the sharpening of the picture amount to 4 Euro.
